Mooring ring and chain for canal narrowboats. Useful for mooring against against piling on canal and river banksides.

Drop the smaller ring behind the bar on the piling, then pass through the larger one and pull tight. You can then thread the back splice on your mooring rope through the small ring and tie off to your boat as normal.
